FIRST PATIENT TREATED AT DAY SURGERY CENTER

Dr. Bo Huang, center, assistant professor of ophthalmology, assisted by Sarah Tatum, nurse in the PACU unit, changes bandages on patient James Tyus of Jackson after his surgery in the Day Surgery Center in the new University Hospital. Huang preformed a cataract extraction with a intraocular lens implant in the right eye of Tyrus. This was the first surgery in the Day Surgery Center.
