LipitorŪ is a brand name for the drug atorvastation. It is used to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and/or triglycerides and to increase good cholesterol (HDL). It belongs to a class of drugs called "statins." Other drugs in this class include lovastatin (MevacorŪ, AltocorŪ), pravastatin (PravacholŪ), simvastatin (ZocorŪ) and fluvastatin (LescolŪ, Lescol XLŪ).
LipitorŪ is not available as a generic. Currently the only member of this class available generically is lovastation.
AndroGelŪ is a testosterone (a major male sex hormone) gel used by men with conditions associated with too little testosterone. Some signs and symptoms might include fatigue, mood changes, loss of sex drive, changes in body composition and bone weakness. It should be noted that these signs and symptoms are nonspecific and could indicate disorders other than low testosterone.
AndroGelŪ is usually applied daily to the skin of the shoulders, upper arms and/or abdomen. Unfortunately, AndroGelŪ is not currently available generically.
