Ask the Doctor I am a 31-year-old female. I was recently diagnosed with a venous malformation of the brain. I feel I need to seek a second opinion regarding treatment. Could you give me the name of a neurologist at UMC who could help me?
You should simply contact the UMC Department of Neurosurgery to discuss a referral. The main UMC number is (601) 984-1000. You need a neurosurgery doctor rather than a neurologist. Your options may be surgery, an interventional radiology procedure or observation. The neurosurgeon will help make that decision.
